More Gallery Quilts

During Strip Club Sharing, we had some wonderful samples of Cozy patterns in colors very different from the original! 

Cindy H caught everyone's attention when she held up her rendition of our Big and Bold pattern.  Here color combination (her own doing, by the way) was wonderful with tans, browns and almost a sea-foam blue.  I think we all wanted it!

This is a great quilt made from our Twirling pattern. Instead of the yellows and blues we originally used, Rebecca D did it in a wonderful collection of Reds, Whites and Blues!

Like me, Judy B loves the positive and negative effect of colors like red and white or black and white. In this quilt, she uses Sharyn's Half Log Cabin Quilts to create a really terrific red and white quilt! 

Kathy P took up the challenge! Putting the black and white batik challenge fabric in the border and in the quilt, she dazzled everyone with her version of our pattern Myopia.

More from Market

It was very exciting in the booth at Market... along with visiting shops, meeting quilters and enjoying other vendors, we had QNNTV.com come and film Sharyn Craig!  In case you don't know, QNNTV is Quilter's News Network and they offer great quilt programming on-line.  They filmed us for a hot products preview from Spring Market segment.  It's not on their website yet, but look for it!  Sharyn was a pro. Cool as a cucumber. I, on the other hand, was a nervous wreak for her!

 

I thought you might want to see our booth at Market.  It was a roomy 10' x 20' with a cushy pseudo-hardwood floor.  We didn't have enough room to hang all of our TWELVE new patterns and TWO new book quilts, so we picked a few to hang... which were, of course, the first ones to sell out!

The two angled quilts are from our new books by Sharyn Craig, Layer Em Up Volume 1 and Half Log Cabin Quilts.  Draped in the corner is Buckeye Beauty.

The fabulous blue pinwheel is Twirling. The dynamic gold and brown is Multifaceted.

In the picture below we have Sonora to the left and Romantic Getaway to the right.  Just on the edge of the picture is Milky Way!

Six hours to put it up, Three days showing, then Two hours to take it down and pack it up..... That's our boxes in the same pretty booth as pictured above.

Market is tiring, but totally fun.  On my next post I'll share a few of the things that caught my eye.

New additions to the Cozy Photo Gallery

Check out these great quilts made by Maureen Cuddington, one of our regular contributors to Strip Club sharing.

The first is what she calls Moth Madness. We originally called it Butterfly Blooms. Like many quilts, it has its own story......

Maureen Cuddington made this quilt for her son, Troy. Troy searched the internet for a pattern he liked and decided it was Butterfly Blooms. Then he decided he wasn't a butterfly guy and renamed his quilt to Moth Madness. He went to the quilt shop with mom and picked the fabric he wanted in the quilt. As Maureen was putting the top together, he also decided that he didn't want just a plain border. So he took some graph paper and sketched out two or three designs he thought might make the border something different and more interesting.

Together they decided on the one that is in the border, and then Maureen was left to figure out the logistics of how to make it work. And the results are fantastic!

But Maureen was not done!

In the next sample, Maureen used our Classic Coffee Cake pattern and some wonderful Southwestern layer cakes to make this stunning quilt. Nice!

 

We begin the Cozy Quilt Gallery!

One of the best things about designing and publishing patterns is seeing what other people do with them! Today we start a growing gallery of terrific quilts made with our books, patterns or rulers!

On this post we are featuring three quilts from Patchwork Angels Quilt Shop in Endicott, New York. Check out their website by clicking here. The terrific girls there run a Strip Club like we do at Cozy Quilt Shop.  Candy was kind enough to forward a few pictures of their finished quilts.  

First up is Ripple Effect done by Dawn in bright fun colors!

Again, we have Ripple Effect. This time it is done in great southwestern colors and it was completed by her sister, Candy.

   

Finally, we have a wonderful version of Rising Star which I pillaged (with permission) off of the Patchwork Angels yahoo group site!
